Martin Holt

Group Leader - Electron and X-ray Microscopy/Scientist, Nanoscience
Martin Holt leads the Electron and X-ray Microscopy group at the Center for Nanoscale Materials.
Biography
- Ph.D., University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Current research activity focuses on the use of nanoscale X-ray diffraction microscopy to achieve predictive control of local structural physics in quantum and classical materials. This is associated with multiple related areas: observation of nanoscale phase phenomena in active materials, observation of acoustic dynamics of spin defect systems, and observation of emergent critical dynamics in engineered mesoscale material systems
